RATES
- Room Rates are flat rates based on the length of your stay. The rates are for two people. We are a guesthouse so no breakfast is included.
- RATES PER NIGHT:
$100/single night; $90/two nights; $80/three or four nights; $75/five nights;
$50/six or seven nights; $300/week for up to two weeks; $700/month
- Surcharge of $25 per additional person
- All accommodations have a private bath with tub & shower.
- Payment with check and cash only
- Make checks payable to "Priors Creek."
- Deposits of 20% are requested and may be mailed to 41 Skye Way, Bakersville, NC 28705
- Cancellation policy: The deposit will be refunded in full if the reservation is cancelled 7 days prior; half of the deposit will be returned if cancelled 3 days prior
GENERAL INFORMATION
- The tap water is chemical free and is the same throughout the house.
- The refrigerators on the porch are available for guest use.
- No ice available
- High speed/Wi-Fi Internet access available in all accommodations
- Kitchen privileges are available with pre-arranged permission-meat free
- Notebook in the second floor hallway contains information for local eateries and attractions
- We are not equipped to accommodate pets unless you are staying in the Spartan Sanctuary.
- The Priory currently hosts four strays-Maybelle, over-friendly black and white hound; Homer, deaf brown and white hound; Cleo, gray "Maine-coon" cat; Odie, sleek, gray, needy, generic barn cat.
DIRECTIONS
From Asheville: We are apx. 60 miles from Awesome Asheville, a little over an hour’s drive. Take 26 W through Asheville. While on 26W, exit onto Weaverville/UNCA/19E-23N. Follow until the exit for Burnsville & Spruce Pine/19E. Apx. 20 miles later drive thru Burnsville on 19E; Apx. 15 miles later, turn left at a traffic light onto 226N. Follow 226N for 11 miles to Bakersville. At the first and only true traffic light in town, turn right onto N. Mitchell Ave. Follow this for apx. 2 miles (It becomes Cane Creek Rd once out of town.) Turn left onto Green Young Cemetery Rd. Go apx. another ¼ mile to the house. Follow the signs to Priors Creek. We are the first house on the left past the last sign (big red roof.)
From Johnson City: We are apx. 45 miles from Johnson City, Tennessee. From 26E take exit 32. Coming off the exits at the next two turns, turn left and then a right. Go apx. ¼ of a mile and turn left onto 173N. Do not turn off of 173 at any time. Once you come to the NC/Tenn line at the top of Iron Mtn, the road number turns from 173/107E to 226S. Stay on 226S until you stop at a blinking traffic light in Bakersville. At the light turn right and make an immediate left turn at the next traffic light onto N. Mitchell Ave. Follow this for apx. 2 miles (It becomes Cane Creek Rd once out of town.) Turn left onto Green Young Cemetery Rd. Go apx. another ¼ mile to the house. Follow the signs to Priors Creek. We are the first house on the left past the last sign (big red roof.)
From Marion/I-40: We are apx. 45 minutes from Marion. Take the exit for Marion which says: Spruce Pine, Bakersville. At the end of the exit, take 226N (It may also be coupled with 221). Follow 226N. It separates from 221 at one point. Stay on 226N. The second traffic light which you encounter near Spruce Pine you will turn right and you will be on 19W for a very short distance (less than a mile) and at the second traffic light on 19W, you will turn left and will be on 226N again to Bakersville. Apx. 11 miles later, you should arrive in downtown Bakersville. At the light turn right in front of the old courthouse and at the traffic light onto N. Mitchell Ave. Follow this for apx. 2 miles (it becomes Cane Creek Rd once out of town). Turn left onto Green Young Cemetery Rd. Go apx. another ¼ mile to the house. Follow the signs to Priors Creek.
